Here are some new little friends that I've made in my short time on Papua. There are lots of birds here (very few mammals), but in my day to day, I see a lot of butterflies. They're hard to capture on the camera, but the moths are a little easier. And flowers are really easy, because they hold still.
There are roads connecting everything, but also jungle trak, a bike/foot path. I like to take the jungle trak, it's quicker, and that's where the butterflies are.
Yup. That's the jungle trak.. And now here's some closeup's of my friends along the way.

WOW! there is so much beauty around you, i also really enjoyed your bug pics on flickr! i'm sorry you are feeling sick, rest up and feel better. enjoy the weather. it's really gross and novembery here... like 40 degrees and raining and all of the leaves are pretty much gone. i'm up at ander's house today writing a huge paper while he watches the bears game and yells insults at the tv. miss you lots, have a good day! -Laura
