May is here and I have time to spare. Everyone is running off to visit their families, the beaches, and enjoy a break from the usual.
Last week I caught a ride to Mysore for the day with Tara and some of her coworkers. While they sat in meetings, I visited the Mysore Palace and walked around the city a bit. There are stories to tell, but not today - I'm leaving for Goa this afternoon (12+ hours by bus ). Sarah and I are staying with Sonia Shirsat, India's only Fado singer. Tim Lowly, she sings some Madradeus songs!
I leave you with this obscured view of the Mysore Palace from the street, and a promise that I will come back with amazing pictures of old Indo-Portuguese Catholic churches and lovely but sweltering hot beaches...
Young at heart
-
I think I'll always be young at heart. A tent over my bead, bright colors,
song and dance, banners. I hope this never stops.
